Upon arrival, the magnet and stand may be in two parts. Before use, place the the long, thin side of the magent on the flat part of the holder. The metal of the stand is bendable to allow you to move the magnet closer if the nail if needed, so the stand may arrive bent out of shape. Just bend back into place, adjusting to your desired height.
