KBShimmer Nail Prep is a liquid nail preparation that is used before applying a base coat. This nail prep helps adjust the pH of your nail to help the base coat bond. Just brush on, let dry for 30 seconds, and apply base coat as desired.
If you have oily nails, or want to remove lotion before polishing, KBShimmer nail prep can do that too! Just swipe on the nail and use a clean cloth to wipe off while the product is still wet.

This product has been a game changer for me. I follow all proper steps readying my nails for polish and use cuticle oil daily so my prep is great, but this product has definitely extended the life of my manicures significantly.

Absolute must have!
This stuff is a necessity if you do your nails frequently (or at all really). It works great create a perfect surface for the nail polish. So glad I found this!

Necessity for manicures
I’ve used numerous kbshimmer polish but I figured I would start with this because this is the base of everything!!

Can't have polished nails without it
Polishes will NOT stay on my nails unless I use the pH prep first. I recently lost my second bottle and kept forgetting to reorder. Almost every polish I used would pop off my nail after a day or two of wear. I'd randomly look down and notice a bare nail or two. Sure, it saved on polish remover but unfortunately each time the polish popped off a layer or two of my nail surface came off with it. By the time I realized what was happening my nails were peeling so badly I had to cut them back to the point where my fingertips were tender and sore. That was about 6 weeks ago and I'm still trying to grow them out.
With the pH prep this NEVER happens. I use it liberally before ever mani and my polish stays and wears more from the top down around the tips and edges as you would expect. It never pops off or seperates from the nail bed. The pH prep is a crucial step for me to help preserve my nails. I never did find the missing bottle but I'm sure to keep a few in hand now.

I use this topcoat with every manicure and I love it. This dries so quickly, it's incredible. I have bought about 5-6 bottles since the fall collection came out because I go through topcoat so quickly and because this is the best topcoat out there. And it dries with such an intense shine! I seriously cannot say enough about this!!! This is the only topcoat I will ever use for the rest of my polishing days!
