Hidden Potential nail polish starts with a warm violet hue that shows off a strong bronze to golden green shimmer in direct lighting. In indirect lighting, this polish truly comes to life, showing off a rainbow of hidden colors. Going from a warm, nearly red copper, to burnt orange to gold, Hidden Potential then shifts easily into hues of green, blue, and navy - even purple pops out depending on the angle and lighting! This is a truly unique polish in our lineup with its drastically different personalities expressed based on changes in lighting and angles. Best in 2-3 coats.

Hidden Potential indeed
I did these late at night with low lighting and it was very gold shimmery. This morning in overcast daylight, are greens and purples and blues, reminiscent of an oil in a puddle, that deep rainbow that is somehow mesmerizing. The formula is smooth, and dried fairly quickly . My first kbshimmer purchase, won't be the last. Wish we could attach pictures to reviews,too stunning not to share!

Nothing Hidden Here!
Let me preface my review by saying I am not a multichrome fan. My nails are ridged & bumpy no matter what I do & a multichrome finish makes those defects more obvious. That said, I bought Hidden Potential nonetheless and I love it. Every light setting brings out a different color. Right now in a low incandescent lighting it's this antiqued gold green, but earlier in direct afternoon sunlight it was this bright electric blue. With my phone flashlight it's a warm coppery orange on top of a plum base. I think what makes this color outstanding is that the base is like a warm berry almost jelly instead of the gray-ish black base of other multichromes. Formula is easy to use & solid 2-coat coverage.

SO MANY SHIFTS!
I have fallen in love with KB Shimmer's multichrome polishes. This one is yet another one that I found true to the pictures. Colors I've seen so far: aqua, copper, gold, light green. I've even had purple show up in camera flash. It's just so beautiful and I never tire of moving my fingers around to watch all the colors. I wish I could post pictures to show off all the beauty! If you love shifty multichromes, this is a must have in your collection.

Perfect Autumnal Shade!
I happened to see this polish for sale on Amazon and it led me to looking up KB Shimmer online. This was the first color in my cart and I was not disappointed when I tried it! This is the perfect color for Autumn!! It's absolutely gorgeous. Applies easily and self levels.

This is magic in a bottle
Definitely my favorite of all of KBShimmer's polishes! It's like a rainbow in a bottle. The purple base shifts to every color imaginable in the light and it's absolutely breathtaking. I always get compliments when I wear it and for good reason - truly a STUNNER!

Absolutely gorgeous

A+ would recommend
This is as amazing as everyone says it is. It looks duo-chrome where most duo-chromes would look flat-metallic, and absolutely magical under most other lighting conditions. I had no problems at all seeing all the colors.
It's a warm magenta jelly base with bronze to gold to green to turquoise to cobalt shifting pigment suspended in it, and the two interact to create even more colors. You get more purple if you do two coats instead of three, and if you're getting too much purple and not enough multi-chrome add another coat, or maybe try shaking up your bottle to redistribute the pigment.
I had no problems with the application, and no chipping after wearing it for a week over Fillin' Groovy.

so much love
i love this polish so much. i call it my rainbows and unicorns polish. even tho it looks mostly blue/gold, when i took off the cap all i saw was pink in the neck! the formula is fantastic. since it comes w/ a wide brush and i have small hands/nails - one brush stroke = one coat. two easy coats and i'm staring at my nails all day long. so much shift that changes indoors, outdoors, low light, bright light... and i was feeling extra last night, so i put a thin coat of dust in a bottle on top - yay holo sparkle!

The ultimate multichrome
Tbh I hesitated on getting this polish for a while because of the more critical reviews saying they couldn’t see the shift, but I’m glad I gave it a chance.
There is absolutely so much color shift in this polish, it’s amazing, a literal rainbow. It reminds me of the colorful anodized metal kitchenware that you can get nowadays. It looks vastly different depending on the lighting conditions, but it’s always eye catching. My boyfriend saw it and was like, whoa your nails are changing color!
This color is so unique and so much better than your normal blue/purple/green multichromes you can get anywhere. I think this is the best multichrome I have or that anyone can have, and I don’t see anything topping it any time soon. This shade is a MUST in your collection. Get it while you can!

Best Multichrome Ever
This polish is absolutely stunning. I’m so impressed with the formula and you can legitimately see the whole rainbow depending on the lighting! This has shifted from deep blue to orange to purple to yellow to green. It’s amazing! It’s also super easy to work with because of the fantastic paddle brush and the fact that it’s not a matte multichrome so it doesn’t show streaks. As I’m typing this, I have to take breaks, just to gaze at its glory. *drools*

Absolutely breathtaking!
I received a dozen KBShimmer polishes for Christmas and tried this one first. I am blown away! The formula is smooth, the wide paddle brush makes application a breeze, and the color shift is out of this world. I added two coats of a scattered holo top coat and wow... I can't wait to use all my other new polishes from this fantastic brand!

Not like the picture
Okay, I was really looking forward to this one, but the look of my nails was not what they showed in the picture. I think it looks a lot more like the "puns and roses" polish that you see pictured on this same page. Most of the time, it was just a pinkish-coral color with some metallic shine to it, and in a certain light, it could go this greenish-grey-brown color. There was no blue or purple to it at all, which disappointed me. It's not an ugly polish, but it's not what's billed either.

Multidimensional
I was worried that this wouldn't look *quite* like the swatches in real life. But it lives up to the photos, there is an insane range of color. Really multidimensional with just a little shimmer, it is so beautiful. Easily one of my all-time faves, and gorgeous for fall.

Where are all the colors?
I have already submitted one review for this product, but it was not posted on the site. I am not sure why. Maybe KB Shimmer will not allow reviews that rate a product below four stars--? If so, that is too bad, as all I am trying to do is be honest, and share my personal experience with this product.
There are no lighting conditions that show the full spectrum of colors effect as shown in the photos of Hidden Potential on the KB Shimmer site. What I see is a nice sparkly polish with a cool blue/violet base color, with a green/gold duochrome shift. I was hoping to see the "rainbow effect" that the photos depicting this color are showing, but this never happened.
It is a very pretty polish, and lasted over five days before the color at the tips of my nails wore away. But that isn't the polishes fault- I do a LOT of typing throughout the day.
There are many other beautiful colors offered by KB Shimmer that I can't wait to try. The fact that Hidden Potential was a bit of a disappointment will not stop me from trying other shades. Thank you, and KB Shimmer, I hope you will post this honest review.

Need special glasses---?
I'm really sorry- but I am not seeing the kaleidoscope of colors that everyone else seems to be seeing, and that are shown on the K B Shimmer site. At first I thought I was not seeing a variety of colors on my nails because I had only put on two coats.
But by coat number four, I realized that I am just not seeing what everyone else seems to be seeing. What I see is that this polish is a duo chrome violet which shifts to green, and sometimes the green looks gold, so- that's three colors. That's what I see.
It's very frustrating because I can see all the colors in the bottle of polish itself, but not on my nails themselves. I tried different lighting conditions and- nope: still basically a warm violet with green that shifts to gold. This color reminds me of a Mac lipstick color called "Spanish Fly." It's the same sort of violet/green shifting shade.
The quality of the polish itself seems excellent, and the polish arrived quickly and beautifully packaged. I really like this company. I'm very happy I found it, and will certainly purchase in the future from K B Shimmer.

Amazing color
I just wore this out and I got so many compliments on this color it was crazy cool. I love this color and all your other colors too. Dries fast and long wearing. Perfect transition color into fall too.

This polish is one my favorites. Nobody does Multichrome like KBShimmer and this one in particular is gorgeous. I've seen 7 colors at once in certain angles and the shimmer!!! Oh the shimmer! This polish moves like no other and the first time I used it, it was consistently purple around the edges while the rest moved. It was so cool, wish I knew how it happened. One other thing, I've seen other companies post shots of Multichromes that are nearly impossible to recreate. Not this one. These colors are true and deep. Buy it!

I bought this because I saw an influencer on Instagram wearing it and had to get it. It is absolutely beautiful in person when the sun is shining right on your nails. I am definitely going to be buying a backup. I hope they never sell out of this one right here! Get it!

multichrome goodness!
I usually like the multichromes that go on super smooth, but the shimmer in this polish is INSANE. I feel like the strongest color is more coppery, but let me tell you, every single color you see in the pictures is there. Definitely get this color if you love multichrome!!

This color is absolutely stunning! The color shifts are amazing! I can not stop looking at my nails! Completely opaque in 2 coats, formula is wonderful to apply. Ordering another bottle.
