This top coat is loaded with red and white hex glitters in many different sizes. Layer over pink for a romantic Valentine’s Day manicure, or over blue for a rocking mani for the 4th. This polish is scented with peppermint for a classic sweet mint scent. This polish will not replace your perfume, but will leave a soft, subtle scent even when dry.

Notes: The fragrance adds a slight tan tint to the base that may be noticeable as the polish ages. It is more noticeable over white or light polish and over the larger white glitters. The tint does lighten as it dries. This polish does look best in one layer, and due to the heavy glitter load, might appear thick.

I’ve had a lot of fun trying this over various polishes. You can try it alone, but it has more snap on different base colors. The peppermint smell was nice. It isn’t just for the holidays. I’ve enjoyed all the compliments I’ve gotten while wearing it. Dries fast, but definitely needs “Clearly On Top” top coat to seal and smooth unless you prefer the texture feel.

I bought this to layer with Chilly Pepper for a fun Christmas look, and it definitely delivered. I did a pretty thick clear top coat to seal it, so I think I missed out on the strong peppermint scent other reviewers have raved about, but the finished product made up for it. As the product description suggests, I think this will be super cute for Valentine’s and the 4th. I am currently wearing this over Chilly Pepper with a Haute Mess accent nail on my ring finger and love it!

I’ve only swatched this one so far. I was wearing Pink Tourmaline – a foil finish – when this came in and I couldnt wait to play with it. I was not a fan of this over the metallic polish. The glitters are a shiny vinyl style. Opaque with no glimmer or glow just shine – which is exactly as expected, just confirming. My first application seemed to have way more white than red but maybe that was just how the bottle was blended after shipping. I may need to try that paperclip stirring hack and see if it balances better. I did want more red or a closer balance. I am excited to try it over a lighter pink creme polish. The peppermint is way better than normal polish smell but I shouldn’t have applied it before bed because I didnt like it in my face all night. I have a hard time with all fragrances though. It’s easy to apply and manipulate the glitters for even coverage. Definitely too with a couple coats of top coat to smooth it out if you don’t like texture in the finish. It’s super fun and cute. I’ll be playing with multiple combinations.

I can’t believe how obsessed I am with this top coat. I actually layered it over a mint green and it looks so Christmas-y. I am used to using Essie’s glitter top coats and this is so much better. I like all of the different sizes within the glitter, and the smallest white pieces almost look like falling snow. It dried quickly and the peppermint scent was still there the next day. I am so glad I found this brand, and the vegan/cruelty free ingredients are a bonus. Will definitely try other items.
