A forest green crushed velvet dress was my everything one year. Soft with a sheen I was obsessed with, it fit perfectly and was my go-to holiday outfit. I wore it to school events, Christmas parties, and tried to wear it every chance I got, until it no longer fit. I felt like I was truly crushing it in that dress.
Crushing It is a green magnetic nail polish inspired by crushed velvet. A deep forest green base is complemented by a vibrant green magnetic pigment, ideal for the “velvet” manicure look. It can also be worn in traditional magnetic styles or without the magnet for a bright green metallic effect. For a “velvet” look, hover the paddle end of a magnet on either side of your nail to push the pigment to the center. Two coats will offer full coverage for most.

After seeing many swatches of this collection, it was clear that this was the standout and was the one I was most excited for. Well, I just painted my nails with it and although the color is gorgeous it is by far the worst formula I have ever used. It was so thick, patchy, chunky, streaky, just awful. I usually love KBShimmer’s formula but this one was not it. I am genuinely shocked that none of the swatch videos I saw brought this up! The color itself really is pretty but I already can’t wait to repaint my nails because it looks terrible due to the chunky and thick formula.

I just got it and have not magnetized it yet. I ordered a strong magnetic. The one I have (from a different brand) only did a okay job. I love this polish unmagnetized. The formula is so lovely, practically a one coater. I did do a second coat to add depth.

I am a HUGE KB shimmer fan and this was a must-buy during the Black Friday sale! It’s my first magnetic from the brand and I’m definitely not a pro at magnetizing polishes, but I found this one more difficult than some other brands. It’s such a stunning, sexy green but I was slightly disappointed in the end result, if I’m 100% honest. However I TOTALLY get the theme/name and I absolutely love it!

My bottle is already more than 2 years old and the magnetic affect still holds strong. I don’t think it lends itself well to glass bead, but I LOVE it in cats eye, and have even gotten compliments when I wore it un-magnetized. Worked great in a holiday skittle!
