Before there was streaming, catching a newly released blockbuster required some careful planning. There was something exciting about the process of heading to the movie store, hunting for the movie you wanted, and spotting its display. It didn’t end there – your heart would pound as you checked to see if there was a rentable copy behind the display box. The thrill of finding that there was – as your parent narrowly escaped battling another mom reaching for the same one – made the task of getting the movie almost as harrowing of an adventure as the action flick you picked up!

Blockbuster is a nod to the movie stores of yesteryear. This ultramarine blue nail polish is loaded with shimmer, for a shade worthy of a starring role in your collection. Each week, we stepped into the ER at County General Hospital in Chicago. There, we became part of the lives of the doctors, nurses, and staff as they worked to treat the patients who came through those ER doors. Those doctors in mint scrubs kept us intrigued for 15 seasons. We watched Carter grow up, Doug and Carol navigate their relationship, and I don’t know many people who can listen to “Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwoʻole without thinking of Mark Greene.

“You Set the Tone” nail polish is a nod to those scrubs. A minty green shade with slight blue undertones, this polish features a shifty shimmer. In bright light, a strong gold shimmer shines throughout the polish. In indirect light, it shows off yellow and green, and at extreme angles, even aqua hues. “Hi Honey, Did You Miss Me?” is a lavender magnetic nail polish inspired by Peggy’s fashion choices. This purple magnetic polish glistens with hints of silver for a metallic feel. Not even intended to be a main character in Family Matters, the Winslows’ neighbor, Urkel, quickly stole the show with his quirky outfits, suspenders, and catchphrase, “Did I do that?” Set in Chicago, the show became part of our TGIF viewing. We laughed, wondered if Steve would ever win over Laura, and gasped when Stefan came to be. It’s no wonder that Urkel quickly became a main character.

“Did I do that?” is a flake-filled jelly nail polish inspired by those fashion faux pas outfits. A deep, indigo-leaning purple base sets off bold flakes that shift from red to nearly orange, with a hint of fuchsia. Indigo flakes pop through, along with hints of royal blue and purple. Mystery Nail Polish

It is that time of year to take a chance on a mystery. These bottles could be past Polish Pickup shades, batches that were off spec, misprinted bottles or labels, recently found retired shades, dead thermals, unlabeled, etc. These may have an X over the label if they were an off spec shade.

In order to reduce the chance of duplicates, we are are limiting the number of polishes per customer to 12. This limit may change as colors sell out. We can not take requests for colors, finishes, or specific polishes as these are wrapped and are a mystery even to us at this point
