Gemstones are more than colorful, sparkling treasures we can add to our jewelry. They also often hold special meanings to us. This is especially true when it comes to our birthstone.  KBShimmer is introducing a 12-piece collection of sparkling foil-finish colors representing each month's birthstone.  Whether you want to rock your birthstone on your tips, or just love the colors, this collection is a must-have!

February babies are gifted with Amethyst.  This stone ranges in color from pinks, to mauve, to shades of lilac and purple. The amethyst was thought to protect against drunkenness, and to provide calm, balance, patience, and peace.

Amethyst is a rich red-toned purple loaded with metallic flakes.  A hint of holographic dust adds sparkle and shine to this polish.  With 2-coat coverage, this will be a must-have for February babies.  This foil formula is easy to remove and shines both indoors and out.

Type: Metallic Flake with Holo
Base: 4-Free
Glitter Load: Medium
Glitter Size: Micro to Small
Recommended Coats:  2 Coats

Notes:  As the metallic flakes are real metal flakes as opposed to plastic, they are very heavy and do like to hang lower in the base.  We suggest that you shake well before use.  Since these are real metallic flakes, they can tarnish, appear a bit more gold, and slightly change the polish color 1-2 years later.  We still think each color is beautiful, but please be aware that the color may slightly change.  Use thin coats for best results, and follow with a quick-dry top coat like Clearly On Top.

This covered in two coats. It was so much smoother than other super sparkly polishes I've used, I only needed one top coat (I usually have to do 2-3). On my monitor the pictures have a little more blue to the purple, but the description is spot on. A gorgeous medium, red toned purple.

I of course had to have this pretty as its my birthstone. I'm not very good with bigger glitter but this pretty just works with me! I would suggest turning the bottle upside down to bring all the glitter to the top. It's definitely a gorgeous purple for the purple lover and February baby.

February birthday peeps must get this!
The purple jewel color of this polish is so rich and deep. The amount of sparkle is insane! I did three easy coats and a top. Shake the bottle really well because there is so much glittery goodness. I love the bit of holo in there that give this polish it's touch of scattered rainbow sparkle.

So much purple sparkly goodness!
Since I love purple and my birthstone is Amethyst I had to try this polish. It was easy to paint with. It dried fast enough that putting three coats on was quick. The sparkle it a-maz-ing!!!! All the different types of glitters are so awesome together. And the color, oh such a nice deep pretty purple!!! Love this polish.
