Handmade Cold Process Soaps

Soaps at KBShimmer are made with the Cold Process method. Fatty Acids from oils, butters, and fats are combined with an alkaline solution, lye dissolved in water, to form soap. Unlike “beauty bars” and “body washes” bought in stores, there are no chemical lather boosters added to create bubbles. Store bought “beauty bars” and “body washes” don’t contain the natural glycerin formed in the soap making process. Manufactures strip it out and sell it as a by-product. In true soap, like below, the wonderful glycerin is left intact.
